Early Metallica is on about the same level as early megadeth. Great music that is so played out I can't listen to it anymore. The others are ok on occasion but far from favorites

Not even close for me, Slayer is the clear winner. I'll take Show No Mercy, Haunting the Chapel and Hell Awaits over anything from the other bands.

I'd find it hard to choose between Megadeth and Metallica. I probably like Ride the Lightning more than anything by Megadeth, but Megadeth have more albums I enjoy.

Good point, actually. I was referring more to Load/Reload/S&M there. I try to mentally block out everything after S&M. You can drop in a third Metallica at their worst in right after Anthrax.
