Thrash - Your favourites?

Powermad are top notch. They are working on a new album as well. Hoping the EP and the LP from the 80's get repressed soon but they have been saying it would for years and still nothing.

The new album is done.

The original album is due out again in Japan remastered, not sure if it has the EP on it yet or not. Hoping to nab a copy for myself.

New one was done about three years ago, me thinks. All that was released was a single, unfortunately....

Here is another one from Absolute Power. If people can get a hold of a copy of this, it is an amazing release. They simply jumped into the thrash metal movement at the tail end of it's popularity.

Besides the obvious ones, Flotsam and Jetsam. No Place for Disgrace is the best non-Metallica/Metallica album ever made. Flots 'til death! :kickass:

Some of my all time faves are:

Nuclear Assault
Sacrifice
Razor
Forbidden
Artillery
Onslaught
Sacred Reich
Overkill
Testament
Holy Moses
Tankard
Kreator
Virus
Flotsam And Jetsam
Hallows Eve
Destruction
Desctructor
Slayer
Heathen
Devastation
Laaz Rockit
Anthrax
Rigor Mortis
Annihilator
Patriarch
Vendetta

Etc, etc, the list is too long, I love trash bands fron 80´s, early 90's, those where the days.

See ya at PP

Anacrusis - "Suffering Hour"
Coroner
Détente - "Recognize No Authority"
Hexenhaus - "A Tribute To Insanity"
Mekong Delta
Mortillery
Sacrilege (UK) - "Behind The Realms Of Madness", "Within The Prophecy"
Voivod - "Killing Technology"
Znowhite - "Act Of God"

I'm not sure whether to include Fear Of God's "Within The Veil", because while some songs definitely qualify as thrash, others don't.

There are a lot more thrash metal bands/albums I like, but I've just cited those bands/albums which still get regular spins (at least every once in a while).

Demolition Hammer, The Crown, Annihilator, Metallica, Slayer, Voivod, Exodus, Overkill, Suicidal Tendencies for the classics.

As for the "new stuff"

Yeah, it's a shame because that album is so awesome. The previous one is good too, but The Sleeping Eye is my favorite by far.

I forgot about Power Trip. That record rules. They played here over the weekend and a huge riot broke out into the street and someone got stabbed, or so I hear.
