Alright, so after being driven completely insane with all the hoopla, hype,
bs, etc. about the big D, and actually seeing a live show and being really
impressed, I picked up the album a few months ago. I thought it was a
pretty cool mix of AC/DC-ish hard rock with over the top 80s vocals and that
was about it.

So, tonight I'm taking care of some business and I see the album sitting there
and decide to pop it in and I'm really digging it, much more than I remember.
While the vocals can be a bit silly sometimes, you can't deny the catchy
songwriting and tasty lead playing! I'm very curious to hear what the mighty
Mutt Lange does with them.

Come on, fess up! :loco:

I love The Darkness. They're not one of those bands that I can listen to constantly or that I'd go nuts for, but when I first saw the video for "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" it was actually pretty exciting because I thought, "Awesome, a basic rock band thats obviously influenced by alot of pomp 70s rock and doesn't take itself too seriously." I really like alot of stuff like T. Rex, New York Dolls, Bowie, Slade, Sweet, etc., and I think they fit pretty nicely in there with an Ac/Dc, Thin Lizzy influence in the guitar area. It's fun stuff, to me. Some people cant stand it, oh well. I probably can't stand 90% of what everyone else loves, anyhow.
