Hey guys, no big deal here, just a tiny piece of advice for those like me living in an apartment and not having the chance to use monitors all day long, and in my case, i'm at home only at nights
So, the thing is, when using headphones, and it's that moment when you want to really understand your compressor, get the volume DOWN, have some rest if you've been piercing them at high volumes, and then come back and hear at low volume what the compressor's doing while you turn the knobs. It's super damn clear.
Obvious for many, i'm sure, but i must admit i've been doing way different stuff all this time.
And just for some reference, if explanation needed.
