Im running an RR5 with emg81 in the bridge through a cheap boss metalzone to saturate the tone on a randall cyclone head.
im getting a pretty crisp tone just setting the general mid/bass/trble to flat and altering the 12 band EQ instead
I know first hand you can get some really heavy tones with this amp but from what i gather it takes a lot of working out.
ideas? ive heard a tone so chunky it rattles your bones but still being reasonably clear for the most part so i know its possible
