Hey dudes,

We're a young band and we're tracking, mixing and mastering our first release ourselves, with our own gear. It's by no means a pro recording compared to the amazing stuff lots of the people here produce.

We're at mixing stage, with a couple of rough mixes down, and I'd love to get some tips!

Defs appreciate any constructive criticism!

Edit: for some background, we're definitely into rawer sounding production. Also, looks like we're retracking the gang vocals, because they are a bit err.. too raw. haha

Yeah man, I agree. The kick is currently receiving some attention. Our drummer has another mix I haven't heard just yet and he has notched stuff so the kick cuts through better, but I personally think it will need more level as well..

Any tips for how the guitars and bass are sitting?
