TL Audio Fat1

Has anyone used the Fat1 valve compressor for warming up guitar's? I'm planning to run my Ibanez into a Boss MT-2 pedal, then through the Fat1. Anyone know what sort of sound i will get as my sound when recorded di is a bit thin.

I've used it on drums. Basically it'll depend on how far you push the valve, but you should be able to get it to sound absolutely monstrous!!!

Cheaper tube designs that use a starved plate low voltage designs. I would check to see if that TL Audio design uses one. If it does, I wouldn't buy it. If you are using a computer, I would recommend the Mackie UAD-1 to warm up your mixes. Use the Pultec, 1176 and LA2A.
