Anyone use a Crate GX-130C Head?

I have a Crate GX-130C head along with a custom Avatar 4x12 cab with a mix of two Celestion Vintage 30 on top and two G12T75s on the bottom.

I use a a Boss GE-7, 7-Band Graphic Equalizer Pedal in the effexts loop. I plug my guitar into a Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor and then into my tuner and then into my head.

I only use this for playing live and and I trying to tweak my sound for a tighter sound and not so muddy. Anyone use this head and have any suggestions?

This, or an EQ in the front with a bit of bass dialed out with maybe a slight boost in the upper mids.

A Boss SD-1 or Digitech Bad Monkey would be another somewhat cheaper solution that does a Tubescreamer sort of thing. The SD-1 is a bit harsher and more abrasive, and I actually prefer it to a true TS-type for really aggressive tones. A Tubescreamer or clone is a bit smoother.
