TL Audio PA-1 Preamp - Experiences?

Hello,

i got an private offer for a TL Audio PA-1 Preamp, the describtion on their website
sounds good, does anybody here has personal experiences with that preamp?

i have a mackie onyx 1620 mixer and use that for a/d conversion, basically, is it worth to buy the add TL Audio PA-1 or is it just waste of money?

i already seached the forum, but couldn find any threads about it

I have one, and it's for sale actually. I wouldn't say it's crap, but I just can't find a use for it. It's warm, very smooth, I'd use it much more if I wasn't a metalhead, I just prefer preamps that are a little more "aggressive", I suppose.
I a/b'd it against a dbx 376 and my Firestudio and it kicked the dbx's ass, while it was fairly different from the Presonus, not better, just different. Anyway, it just isn't for me, but maybe you could like it...
