The power amp of the 5153 50wt is very tight.
I suspect that the preamp section pushes a lot of lows that balances this out.
It really reminds me of my Mesa MK4 power amp section which is a very similar setup but you need to boost the low frequency on the graphic.

I must try the 6505 preamp feeding the 5153 power amp.
I suspect it will be much thinner than through it's own power amp.
Will report back when I have time to check this out.
