What have you done with the bassguitar on the new arch enemy album that it sounds so fat, special in the distorted intro of the first song of the new arch enemy album. How was the basseguitar recorded or what are tricks to get it that fat. :hotjump:

I suppose it's got to do with Sharlee's rig and playing as well, since he had a great sound with Mercyful Fate as well!

I know Sharlee uses Rickenbacker , but I'm not sure what amp he uses. Ampeg SVT?

Sharlee's tone live is just sickening. I've seen Arch Enemy a couple of times, as well as Witchery, and I'd say it has the most to do with his excellent skills on the instrument. Rickenbacker basses look fucking wicked as hell too!

well i guess it has a lot to do with the skills etc. but the bass matched perfect with the guitars and i guess it has to do with the eq settings and maybe some distortion, i tried a lot out, but i couldnt get such a great sound.
