Today, I lost my job.

Well I do not think so. Because they didn't compensate me, so I don't think they have to. Because then they would have. Sad face

It's okay. I just wanted to share a situation that Opeth complemented well. To be honest, I do not know why I was fired. I think it is because I have an extraordinarily high degree of cool, rivaled only by the rap superstar 50cent, and that trait did not fit appropriately with the markets environment.

Hmm that's strange, because an employer cannot fire his employees without any good reason. Oh well, maybe is it this why in the United-States!? Great thing that Opeth made you feel better. I think it does for everyone.

Maybe You were one of the unfortunate casualties of the global recession?

Btw, while listening to wreath did you happen to do a mendez style head sway?
I dont know why but that song always does this for me.

Sorry bout the job. And I do the same thing with Wreath and sometimes Dirge for November, just turn it up loud and let all that bottled up emotion out and you feel much better..

Thank you for the kind sentiment, every one! I am partially grateful, to be honest, because my boss was always hitting on me and talking to me in Greek and I would just nod because I do not understand Greek.

Hmm, that's funny because usually Opeth makes me feel better, but since my husband and I separated on Monday, listening to Opeth doesn't help. You'll all think I'm crazy, but it actually isn't depressing enough! :)

I'm so sorry to hear that, ponie. But the fact that you can punctuate your situation with a smiley face shows your willingness to get better. May I suggest cupboard therapy?

Cupboard therapy only works if you are small. I am small, so I enjoy Cupboard therapy. You simply crawl into a cupboard and close the door. I like the one under my sink in the bathroom.

If Opeth does not work I think that Cupboard Therapy will work.

How long do I stay in said cupboard? Should I have Opeth playing at my desk whilst in the cupboard? My desk is close enough to the kitchen that I would be able to hear it!

I do not listen to music while I am inside the cupboard. But I don't see what would be wrong with doing so. There are no rules to Cupboard therapy. Each person has their preference. I like to sit and reflect for as long as I can before my back starts to hurt from being in a strange position.

Listening to Opeth might make the process doubly effective! Not to mention, it could usher in an evolution on the way cupboard-dwellers approach Cupboard Therapy, assuming I am not the only one who does Cupboard Therapy.

That cupboard idea is actually genius. Do it. Umm what happens if there's a spider in your face? ;). Hey umm I'm just kiding, but seriously, I'm very sorry for the thing with your husband. I can relate it to my actual relation, and I know it would be hard for me. I suggest that his thread becomes the official "tell your sad story in less than 3 lines". :u-huh:

Cupboards helped me overcome my fear of spiders! I am certain cupboards can cure anything, including broken hearts. I think that cupboards are the ambrosia of the gods in furniture form, Cupboard therapy being a divine mission of sorts.
