Today (June 6th) is Sweden's national holiday

Yay for us, though it feels kind of forced right now, but I'm sure it feel all natural in, say a hundred years or so

Also the thrings we're celebreting doesn't feel very festive or worthwhile either; the crowning of Gustav Vasa in 1523 and the ratification of the new constitutoin of 1809 are not really things that'll make me go about waving flags around :)

Besides I don't think that many really know what they're supposed to celebrate :)

Mr. Vasa was a bit of a cunt, but the constitution is kinda worth celebrating, you know, what with introducing freedom of speech and all that good stuff.

Hehe yeah, he had his fair share of cuntness I guess, but afterall it was he who laid the foundations for the centralized state known as Sweden (though I'm not really sure if that's all that positive)

Btw, that book you borrowed, will you be sending it via mail or? I'll be leaving Ume early wednesday morning

You enslaved our proud people and forced us into the shackles of oppression! You know it's true! :p You still haven't given us back Jämtland og Härjedalen, and it took us years to get our own storting that could decide our own laws. Damn you!
