...I posted this on the Vintersorg forum too. :p

I watched the Dethklok stuff they have on YouTube and that's pretty funny. It's about as close as I'll be getting to watching full episodes for some time, I'm sure. We have to settle for rather mainstream TV out here - but we're making the best of it, thank you very much. :)

Actually I'm not against TV in any which way. We watch a fair bit but make a social happening out of it by discussing just about everything we see. Or commenting, rather. We usually feel the same way about the madness that passes in front of our eyes. "We" being my wife an myself, yes sir.

It's a very good show, but I think it has yet to really kick off. I think you have to be a metal musician to understand a lot of the humour.

Dethtroll episode was the best, IMO.

Judging from that line I would think people over in the Novembers Doom forum are watching Dethklok as well. The grandpa guitars came up and I didn't know what the hell they were jabbering about.

Yeah Ok He looks a lil like Mr V. But have you not seen the dreaded bald guy? he is a total Dev Townsend imitation even on Devs website his wife had been emailing the shows creators about it, lol.

We get [adult swim] here, but no dethklok! It's frustrating, from what i've seen it looks really good. It's rare to have comedy directed towards interests like ours. I've even learnt to play the theme song (still working on a couple of FAST lead fills).

I would disagree with that. Im not a metal musician and yet I get lots of the musicical jokes. Lots of my freinds are musicians who dont play metal but they also get them. I absolutly love my show an one great thing about it is that I can show this to most of my nonmetal friends and they absolutly love it. Hehe, of course they have some good taste (I got them into Agalloch, WoY, and a few other bands hehe) but yeah... This is a great show for people who enjoy metal and even for those who dont, though I think metal heads and or those who at least know about metal will get the most out of it. It is not needed though. Really the show kinda seems like a metal spinal tap... and you dont have to enjoy rock to enjoy spinal tap.

... Yeah... Im basicly obsessed with this show.

Damnit to hell, I've been wanting to watch this show since I heard about it.

You guys are lucky. I have a satellite receiver and I still can't get the damn channel.

Agreed. The show is a big hit among co-workers and friends of mine who aren't into metal at all.
