Yes it is good, but it didn't come out 20 years ago, when people were wearing tight jeans and white "sneaker" boots.
That means, it's not a cool album to certain arseholes. No doubt the band actually "sold out" with Monotheist because it got good reviews. There's no pleasing some cunts.

It's the best album they've ever done, clearly.

Right. I missed them when they blew through town. I was on the guest list, but was ill that week and passed. I felt bad then and worse now that there will be NO next time....

I'd like to point out that if you think Monotheist sucks, you aren't a Celtic Frost fan. Read about how much work they put into it, how physically, spiritually and mentally breaking it was to do, and just how epic the entire recording and even conceptualizing of it was. If you don't like it, I don't see how you can rightfully call yourself a fan of their art.
