HI, folks...

I decided making some electronic modifications on my beloved one and I decided to do a trade-off with the middle pickup switch in favour of a selector that dould bypass all tone and volume control circuitry.

That mod was supposed to give me a more powerful sound....

!!!And it did!!!:kickass:

More treble, more bass, more mid... not just louder, BETTER is the word. Better cleans ans much better distortion.

It responds better to tapping, gets more even across the fretboard, everything you can think of...

And with the flick of a stwich I get my volume and tone controls back for some "brown"/clean sounds (for cleans, I just calm down my pick attack)...

So if your beloved one lacks something, this would be a good idea to try out.

NOTE: This will not work for active pickups.

The modification I did was to set a DPDT (dual point double throw) on/on switch which acts like that:

Position towards me: standard wiring, signal goes from pickup selector to volume and tone controls and then the output jack.

Position towards the floor: signal goes from the pickup selector STRAIGHT to the output jack, bypassing BOTH volume and tone controls, thus leaving no dummy load on the signal.

I should draw a schematic later on to explain it better... right?
