How come most of you are leaving out Dave Mustaine, I know Megadeth are way past their prime, but have you listened to "The World Needs A Hero?" His solos and playing are incredible!!! (Rust In Peace, but a little bit slower and more polished...) That album is incredible too, good way to go out...

Max Cavalera is one of the best frontmen but also one of the lamest guitarists I have ever seen live. Zakk Wylde, Dimebag, Jerry Cantrell, Megadeth guys, Metallica guys, Paul Crook and that bald-headed thrash riffs master (couldn't remember his name anyhow :)) are my heroes.
I´m listening to G3 right now hehehe

Mårten Hagström, Meshuggah
Fredrik Thordendahl, Meshuggah
Scott Ian, Anthrax
James Hetfield, Metallica
Chuck Shuldiner, Death/Control Denied
Anders Björler, At The Gates/The Haunted
Dimebag Darrell, Pantera
Dave Mustaine, Megadeth
Andreas Kisser, Sepultura
Eric Peterson, Testament

Does the following count?

Tony Iommi
Ted Nugent
Devin Townsend?

Theres a few others, but I'll have to trawl through the CD's to look.

From those list's looks like the definitive list includes Zakk Wylde, Dimebag Darrell, Dave Mustaine, and Scott Ian (who else?!).

Damn good list to me :)

The 'Tallica boys make the list an all :)

Well I'll get this one out of the way...Scott
now to the rest..
Dave Mustaine
Zakk Wylde
DimeBag Darrell
Dino Cazares
Trey Azagthoth
Kirk Hammet
Angus Young
Jeff Hanneman/Kerry king
Glenn Tipton/K.K. Downing
( I combined the last two.. well because I can)
