Top 5 darkest movies

I did like Hellraiser a lot too whan I was younger...

but when I was seven years old, my parents went out one night, and as usual, I went to their bed to watch the TV : I saw "Jaws"...
This may sound ridiculous, but since then, even if I love to go in the water, I can't go and swim in the sea anymore !!
When my parents came back that night I was so shocked and petrified, that I had my head under the pillow, and I couldn't even move a single finger to press the key and change the fucking channel :mad :

I've been watching horror movies since I was a kid so I built kinda "resistance" *gg*. Those movies just don't scare me anymore. I'm more into thrillers nowadays :D

-Final Destination
-Shining
-Exorcist
-Rosemary's Baby (not scary but classics :) )
-Pet Cemetary (watch it when you're alone in the dark  *gg*)
-Blair Witch Project (only when seeing it in the cinema on a huge screen and for the first time.. second time it's boring)

I don't know why you people mention the "Ring". It's crap. Both the Japanese and the American one. Mullholand Drive was probably the best "dark" film of the last 3-4 years... Memento was ace too. I can't remember of other ones right now...

the only dark movies i can think off right now, and wich i like are Sleepy Hollow and Indiana Jones/Temple of Doom
2nd isnt really to considered as a dark movie, but it fits in the thread i guess.............
