I'm surprised you don't have that Weapon album higher. I just purchased it yesterday and it's pretty damn incredible.

I definitely agree with Mgla and Pallbearer. I'd add Revelation - "Inner Harbor" in my top 5 for sure. After that, I've heard too little to even make a list.

I liked the new Overkill, but the songs are too damn long. When thrash songs exceed 4 minutes I get bored.:lol: I also enjoyed the new releases from Bonded by Blood, Goatwhore, Accept, Conan, Meshuggah and Dying Fetus.
 
BTW more people need to check out the Shadow Kingdom Records albums that came out this year. Specifically the newest Altar of Oblivion album, Hellwell (Mark Shelton of Manilla Road's sideproject), and the Pale Divine album. Three great albums that everyone who's into traditional doom/heavy metal should at least check out. You can listen to them for free at their bandcamp page. No excuses.
 
Surprised to see Chapel only mentioned twice! Satan's Rock 'n Roll was by far the best metal album I heard all year.
