Toronto Show!!!! July 18/07

The show was fuckin' badass! As the other person had mentioned, the sound quality itself wasn't great... I actually found it quite horrible from where I was standing, but that's at no fault of SX. They still ripped shit up! :rock: Afterwards, I got all of their autographs, and a few pictures with some of the members :) Meeting them was the best part of the night... they really are a bunch of great guys.
 
So yeah, I shot the shit for the whole fukken day and instead of camping out in line, got there like 10 minutes before the doors opened and befriended the people at the front of the line and jumped the fence, I'm such an ass :lol: It was amazing, plus I managed to pick up a hot 18 year old Russian chick. I also managed to make LePond laugh a few times, he definitely remembered me from Montreal.
 
Man that show was awesome, i talked michael for a bit, got a pic with him and an autograph too!, they sounded awesome live and the odyssey couldnt have been better.

When you guys say you got to meet up w/ the band do they come out for signing of merch and shit? Or did you have to stalk them lol

Oh man, it was so awesome. Too bad they didn't play Evolution That was the song that got me hooked on Symphony X. It was so great, Romeo was at my side :P

Also, are you sure they didn't play Evolution? If they didn't that sucks...but they must've put another song in it's place? Maybe we could get a setlist from someone's memory!!!

I have to say, I don't know who is doing the sound work for SyX, but I've seen them twice before and both times the sound quality was (imo) average to slightly below average.

To put this in comparison, I saw Slayer about 8 years ago in a club in NJ and the sound quality was absolutely incredible. The mix was as good as I would say is humanly possible. It was intensely loud and crystal clear. SyX, a far superior band, should be able to routinely get a mix at least 80% as good as Slayer's was. And yes, I know Slayer has tons of money to hire the best sound crew and they bring their own equipment everywhere where SyX sometimes has to use house equipment, but I've heard local bands mixed better than what SyX is getting.

I don't understand why they can't find a sound crew who is capable of doing them the justice of the great sound they deserve.
 
Just upload them to a hosting site (imageshack.us for example) and it'll spit out a few links, and just post those links in a reply, and tada. pics. I took some but they turned out pretty awful.

And scanner313, glad you agree with me. Like I said, it was sufficient to us Symphony X fans, but it really should've been a lot better.

...I hope they come out to sign when they play Atlanta. That's be badass

Great pics and vids but I have one question

How come nobody ever gets the OTHER parts of the Odyssey or songs that aren't on Youtube like PL or tWoB

It's always the same shit :(

Oh well, when I see 'em August 7th I'm going to record both of those and post em up so we'll have some variation.
