Tour starts in mid-April!!!!!

I'm planning on seeing them in the DC, Balitmore, Philly and maybe a little bit west of that and south. I would go as far south as Altanta maybe, and as far west as Cleveland. I dunno. All I reallly know is that I'll be making alot of beer runs and stops at the local liquor stores and checking in to alot of cheap motels/hotels.

In 1998 I saw them:
@Hara Arena (Dayton)
@James A. Rhodes Arena (Akron)
@Annies (Cincy)
@Odeo (Cleveland)
@Bogarts (Cincy)
@Newport (Columbus)
@The Flying Machine (Lorain)

I doubt I make it to that many shows as I finally broke my spirit and got a real job, but I should make to the Columbus stop, Cincy is doable, and Cleveland, Indy, Pittsburgh, and Detroit are all doable if it is on a Saturday. If I only see one show though I'll be happy.

I think that year I saw them in Spartanburg, atlanta, dc norfolk. I can't remember. I'm a waiter/bartender. It's really easy for me to just ask my boss for a few days off whenever I want to as long as I give him a couple of weeks of notice so that he can get my shifts covered.

I live a rock star for 3 months. A poor one, but a rock star non-the-less.
*wake up @ 10 am
*ride bike for a few hours
*chill out at the pool
*read, watch tv, play games
*get cleaned up and ready to go to bar
*go to bar, drink something w/ a lime, lemon, or orange in it, so you can blame hangover on bad fruit
*take bar floozie back to pool/hottub for seduction of the not-so-innocent
*pass out and resume schedule

I live that way anyway as a waiter/bartender. I work outdoors and don't have to show up to work until anwhere between 11 and 4. And I have serious access to after hours parties and bars that will stay open for a select group of people only.

Yeah, I know what you're saying, I tended bar as a moonlighting gig for a while. That lifestyle worked for a couple of years (lot's of free booze, lots of ladies who wouldn't have cared who I was otherwise, and afterhours parties w/ all my local authority figures) but for me, I need to be grounded in reality to really thrive at this life thing. To each their own, and to you, continued success at a very cool gig (I have the utmost respect for good bartenders)

Well, I also play music on top of bartend. I'm hoping to put something together so that we could gig in the summer at these bars whose people I know. It helps to keep in the know. Hopefully at the beach. I've got a regular girl though, I'm not into the bar groupies. But I used to be.

OH shit. I forgot to mention. I also wait tables at a ritzy place near Redskins park. I wait on Dan Snyder(ownder of the redskins) pretty much on a weekly basis. The other day he asked if I was going to the superbowl, I said, hell no !!! He told me that if I was going, he would have gotten me into the Playboy party at Four Seasons. DAMN !! I could have been knocking back some blended scotch with Hef and a bunch of hot toddies !! fuck !!! Goddamn!!!
ohh.... and my buddy Doug's friend's band, Love Seed Mama Jump play at the official tailgate parties at the Redskins games. Mostly all covers but good and Doug himself plays acoustic with a percussionist on the other side of the club level concourse. I played one song once with him after a loss "wicked game" by c.Isaak. He sang. Well anyway, the chix freaked when we played that song and when I came back down to go back to the bar, I got focked.

One time when Dan Snyder was in my restaurant, I asked if I coulc get that gig when he builds a new stadium in north va for baseball. That's such a longshot though. I don't think he'll get a baseball team or the fucking expo's. But I'm hooked up with a fall gig every sunday if that were to ever happen
