Why will metallica not take our favourite band out on the road this summer???????????

Cause then Metallica would be upstaged.
Look at the last bands Metallica has taken on tour.
Limp Bizkit? Linkin Park? Mudvayne? Korn?
I like Korn (first album and an occasional song on their new cds) and love Mudvayne and have seen them both live, but they don't compare to Anthrax live.
Metallica knows this. They take popular bands that can't stack up to Metallica live. If they took Anthrax, their fans would realize how heavy Anthrax was and how bad ass they are. That's why you don't see Metallica taking great live performers on tour.

Besides, then Anthrax fans would be forced to pay $55-$75 a ticket to see them open. (That's how much the tix are for the August Metallica show here in Chicago. And I'm pretty sure it's just one opening band)

I'd pay that to see Anthrax...but, they won't take them...Anthrax maybe should contact Megadeth (since they're reforming) for a tour in the fall. Megadeth's album might be out by then.

As for the Megadeth Anthrax tour, I think that would be great. Anthrax isn't going to be in the studio then, so it should work out.

you gotta keep in mind that metallica gotta keep profit in mind and sell as many tickets as possible... thus, taking said mtv bands would help tremendously. as much as i love anthrax, they're not really gonna help fill at 15,000 seat venue.

METALLICA$H are playing the download festival in glasgow and the line ups not looking too bad with slayer and machine head on the bill alongside Shitknot! it would be nice if Lars and co could show the 'Thrax some love and get em on the bill...

Check this out for a bill likely to be touring the Uk in June.... Anthrax headlining with support coming from Killswitch Engage, Chimaira and God Forbid. Apparently none of the featured bands can get on the Download festival due to prior European festival engagements so are putting this package bill together!!!! I heard this from a UK booking agent and a staff member from one of the leading UK metal mags within 24 hours of each other so it stands a pretty good chance of being true. Fucking hope so, that is a proper metal line-up!!!!!
