Gonna buy some tracking headphones soon for guitar and vox. What should I look for? Ive missed out on 2 pairs of hd280's on craigslist for less than $50

I wouldn't do K240s because they're semi open and kinda fragile. Good alternate mixing reference and are comfy for extended wear.
I vote for either ATH M30 or Shure SRH440 for tracking.
I own and like all these headphones. Don't like the fit or sound of Sennheisers personally.

I like the Sennheiser HD280s and Audio Technica ATH-M50. Sony and AKG also offer models in the same price range that are good as well.

Yes I'm kicking myself in the ass hard right now. There was a set on cl for $45 and I was gonna offer him less lol. Waited till the next day to call and they were already sold, fffffffuuuuuuuuuuu. Anyone have any experience with the Sony MDR7509HD's? Looks like they are over $200 new. Found a set for $50 but I don't have any way to hear them first.
