are there any legal and secure ways to trade?

Ive recently found a guy thats willing to trade his 6505 for my Engl.
He lives in England and im from Scotland, we do not know one another.

We are both willing to send the amps by courier as we live to far apart to meet up.

its a big risk ofcourse and he feels the same, how could i go about this safetly?

get your amps up to ebay, and buy each others amps.
then pay using paypal, so in a case you'll get the money back.
when everything is done cancel the auction so you'll get back the selling fee.

I did this once when trading a laney for a krank, dude just sent his amp and i sent mine to him. easy.

Maybe you could arrange a trusted middleman. Then both of you send 800 pounds (the value one amp) to this guy. When both of you received the others amp, you both get the 800 bucks back. But if you send the amp and he didn't, you can get the 1600 from the trusted middle man. This could be a solution to your problem.
I think there are websites / online services available to provide a trusted 3rd party. It's worth to Google it.
