Tremstopper?

If anything, this works better. Harder to take in or out, but it works. Behold:

It's a can-opener.

i already have that installed on my guitar......
I like the concept of the tremstopper piece holding the bar because you can switch instantly from hardtail to floating by just pulling off the bar.

No. But it does suck when you're trying to tune and you keep pulling sharp on the Rose.

on the topic, i really hate restringing my jackson because the floyd rose always fucks up, if i go to a guitar shop and get the tremlo blocked can i restring and tune it to all different shit without it moving around and making it go out of tune and fucking up? i almost never use the floyd rose but i really like guitars that just happen to have it so this would make my life soooo much easier.

Am I the only one here who uses his whammy bar religiously and would have no use for a hardtail whatsoever?

Believe me, if I had a floating trem I would be using it all the time, I currently have a fixed bridge, and can really feel the restrictions... :erk: When I finally get a new axe, it will definately have a floyd rose trem... And yes, I do realise the issues of restringing and tuning and setup etc., I've done guitars in at work which had f/t's and they weren't as bad as everyone makes them out to be... I really cannot wait to get a new guitar with a double-locking floating tremelo system...

nah im like captain divebomb, only time i dont use my whammy is band practice because my band doesnt approve of solos or divebombs :'(

i change strings about once a month or once every two months and dont have any prblems with it going out, when i first put them on i just pull them up quite hard to strench them, they go out of tune so you tune them up again, rinse and repeat about 5x and it will just stay in tune.

almost. i use my fixed bridge guitar for alternate tunings (C standard :heh: ) cause it would destroy the trem to set it up and then set it back within a reasonable amount of time

I never saw the need for tuning to C Standard. If I wanted to go that low, I'd just use my 7-String. And if I wanted to be tuned to C, I'd tune my 7-String a half step up. But I don't for 2 reasons:
1. Because it's an Edge Lo-Pro bridge, aka non-fixed.
2. Because I don't need to do so.

I wouldn't use C I don't think, I'd just have standard tuning, and a seven string (eventually) to handle anything lower... Maybe a guitar tuned D standard would be nice, but anything lower than that is 7 string material IMO...
