triggering bass drums

I am new to this site but am thrilled that it exists. Dead Heart in a Dead World by Nevermore is the best sounding metal album of all time and it is a TRAVESTY that Andy Sneap did not do their latest offering. Enough teabagging...

How much trigger do you add to your bass drums? If any, of course.

its usually all sample unless we're going for a more natural vibe, which with this sort of music is pretty rare.

I'd like to use more natural kick but it's impossible if you want to hear it all the time, which drummers like to nowadays.
