Trilian for both slapping and picking

Yea so I might be buying Trilian soon. I started out as a bass player (now I play both) but I only got a cheap-ish 4-string bass and on my guitar I'm tuned on A#. I kind of got fascinated by the band The Arusha Accord, especcially their bass playing/sound:



I want to record some demo's soon with a slap bass style but also picking style. Is Trilian in general good to record with? I mean is there 1 bass sound/model that I can use for both (slap & pick) and that sound good with metal?
