Trying to identify a song... Hammerdown??

I had this song on tape 10 or 12 (15?) years ago and never knew its name, I was sure it was a Saxon tune (not so sure now as I can't find any reference to it anywhere). Anyway, the chorus was "put the pedal to the metal something something something hammerdown". I've looked
through the lyrics on Biff's site and can't see anything familiar. Anybody know what the hell I'm talking about?

You mite try Ted Nugent he has a song on one of his older albums with a song of the same title.
