Hey guys, I have recently been working to improve my tone. I have used pod farm in the past and it was not doing it for me so i started using free plugins haha. Here is what I have achieved thus far. Let me know what you think. I plan to post a full mix with this tone. If you are interested to know what I did just ask. :) This mix is pretty bad, I through it together in like a minute, but the tone is the focus! Thanks. https://www.dropbox.com/s/637l9mfukmxagjx/lecto demo um.mp3

Doesn't sound too bad. In the title is said TS-999, Lecto, and LA Convolver so im just assuming you used those haha. I could suggest messing with a couple more TS plugins, I used to use the TS-999 all the time, I liked it more than the TSE-808 but you should check out the TSB-1 by ignite amps, that's currently my favorite.

My only question really is what IR did you use? my favorite IRs are from the MickRich pack which you can probably find if you google them.

I'm not totally sure. I believe s pres high by catharsis and maybe the orange impulses that or the ASEM recto v30. I am using Logic Pro if that makes a difference. I'll check out your recommendations. Thanks dude!

Hey. So I was gunna write a bunch of tips or whatever cuz I use Lecto alot... But instead I just screenshotted my "RythymGuitarStart.rfx" preset.. Keep in mind this is meant to be double (both 100% left/right) or quad tracked (2 x 100%left/right other 2 70-80% to taste with high end eq'd off)... and is meant as the "rythym guitar".. My "lead" preset is very similar exept with tse's NEW x50 1.2.. So sexy.. also youll notice there is eq spikes in 600, 1.3k, and 5.6k. Where as the "lead" preset has similar eq spikes in 800, 3.5k and 8k to give them each a little elbow room :) Hope this helps.

Just to avoid confusion signal chain is as follows:

Waves C1 Comp-gate > TSE 808 > Lecto > LeCab (Messiah impulses.. Worth the 5$) > Waves C4 > Waves REQ 6
