Tube Saturation - Tutorial (not mine though)

Whenever A-B’ing two different samples, it is crucial to level match them. By not doing so, it is easy to sway the listener into thinking the louder sample sounds better. If you really want to compare the effect of anything in your signal processing chain, always make sure your samples are the same perceived loudness.

^This. Without the same volume it´s hard to get conclusions.

Is it only me or did the blatant use of autotune and the "jump" emphasis in the vocals annoy you a lot? y

these vocals to me are also not really representative... i mean - who sings like that, hehe. it actually reminded me a little of tesseract, harhar (now everyone hates me, i know)

i actually hate the saturation on drums :) ESPECIALLY ON KICKS ! :puke:

i would only use slight amounts of saturation, never really liked this to raise the volume or anything.

thanks for the link,
i dont think the samples he provided are sounding representative, the kick on the drums are distorting for example!!!
but i love tube-saturation!!!!, i often use tube-saturation on drums, bass, guitars... ähh on nearly everything, but also only in a slightly amount, just to give a bit more grid in it..
