Can someone recommend me a Tuner for live use. I don't want it to be racked so a stompbox is a must. I am running wireless into a marshal DSL 100 (JCM2000), and am in standard tuning drop D.

You can set it to Standard (E/Drop D), Half-Step (Eb/Drop Db) +/- & Whole-Step (D/Drop C) +/-

It recognizes the pitches by string number like this:

e 1
b 2
g 3
d 4
a 5
e 6

So if doing any drop tuning, just hit the 12th harmonic and tune it until it matches in tune for 4 (D).

The TU-2 I have on my board now actually registers the lower stuff better than my old Korg rack tuner, I've found. It'll get you there with no problems.

I have a Fender chromatic tuner, the newer pedal ones with the blue and red LED's. Metal housing, easy to read LED and note display, half the cost of the boss pedal unit, but the same basic idea and design. For me, it's been flawless. It tracks great.
