How do you guys turn drum audio into midi info or is that more trouble than it's worth?

I have a mic on drummers kick and snare and I'm just so tired of manually programming those in there

I'm using pro tools and kontakt btw

I do this using the audiosnap function inside Sonar. What DAW are you using?

Theres also drumtracker

I found the audio to midi in Audiosnap (sonar) to be much more efficient and easy to use than Drumtracker. It picks up velocity's and everything. I THINK it can even get notes from a bass line etc (not sure, and not sure how well it does this).

There's also ProTrig and Beat Replacer

or drumagog, or ktdrumdrigger, with some routing. i own drumtracker and still usually just use drumagog to convert audio to midi. it's quickest, once you can wrap your head around the routing nightmare.

DTM was the best though, holy shit. "learn drum" > drag n drop, boom. masseys a fucking genious
