Yep. I, for one, appreciate the diversity, and I've been pleasantly surprised by some of the bands I was introduced to at Bloodstock (e.g., Illuminatus, Fifth Man Down, etc.) I also wouldn't have said 12pointhead stood out like a sore thumb, either (apart from the name -- I was expecting a Kerrang! friendly nu-metal band based on that). I've never heard many of the bands that people are complaining about, but even if they're not my thing, so what? If they please others and aren't completely out of place, then I'll be happy. After all, if the band choice was dictated purely by appeal to a mass audience, then many of the bands I like would be unlikely to get a chance...bloodstock said:C'mon guys, this festival is all about diversity. If we had 26 bands all sounding the same then we would last 5 minutes!!
Look at who we have had in the past - In 2002 12pointhead stood out like a sore thumb and yet won over 300 folk who witnessed their set!
