not a bad set, just way too short. also, i was right up front next to the PA so it made my ears bleed almost hehe, but it was rockin \m/

Anyway, Hypocrisy.. FUCKING AMAZING!!! Dark Tranquility was a let down since i really loved the Character album and I didn't expect the lead singer to be.. so gay(the way he performed) : /

Man, i happen to LOVE DT. I think Stanne is an amazing frontman. So what if he smiles. Is it "non-metal" to smile? He really digs the fans. I spoke to him after the Denver and Phoenix shows. He actually remembered me also from the Denver show. He saw me in the front row of the Phoenix show and pointed at me!!! I mean Peter and the rest of Hypocrisy are very friendly, but DT was even moreso.

imo, Stanne seemed very egotistical as well.. that is the 1 thing that really annoyed me. Aside from that i dont mind the other stuff like the little dances but they were dances of egotism

Okay I guess I ought to say something and no, I'm not being a bitch. But I know the DT guys very well. I think you just misread or mistook his actions. He's about one of the most easy-going, non-egotistical frontman I know in the whole industry. He's just very happy-go-lucky, especially when he's excited by the crowd response. His little dances and whatnot are of purely being happy and content with the crowd. I've known them for quite a few years, you can trust me on it! :Spin:

I talked to the guys from DT and I agree with Squeak, all of them are very cool guys. The way I describe their performance is that they have a very strong European presence when they perform, more so than any other band. But why shouldn't they.

I was at the Detroit show last night and I gotta say I was very disappointed....and psyched, at the same time. Disappointed because of the set times! This is the third time I have seen Hypocrisy live and EVERY TIME they only get like half an hour to play! What's the deal? I hate being so into it and flipping out only to have Peter say, "this is our last song .... " Dark Tranquillity played even less time than Hypocrisy, and they were on after! B.S. But as usual Hypocrisy SOUNDED amazing. In fact they're one of the best sounding bands I've ever seen. Good stage presence too. Peter is really tall! Mikael Stanne is really skinny. So it was a fantastic show but I just wanted the bands to play longer.

If you're talking about Peter Hypocrisy Peter, he is definitely NOT tall, unless you are very short. I am 5' 4 1/2" and in my boots I'm 5' 7 1/2" and he's only maybe an inch and a half taller than that. If you look at my photos with them in Hollywood, you will see he is not much taller than me in my boots. And yah, Stanne is quite the skinny boy, but not TOO skinny at least! lol I also agree that the next time Hypocrisy comes, they need a longer set. Although back in 2001 (I believe), they did come on a headlining tour. Funny shit, because that was the first time Soilwork came to the states and they were the SECOND band of the night, way before Hypocrisy!
