Anyone with an Apollo want to try out the Plexi and report back?

The new 88RS looks pretty cool, although kinda ironic to use as a Unison pre since it's generally considered to be really clean

The Tube-Tech release makes no sense. Less instances than native, the same algorithm as native, except no side-chain, high price considering

I made my first experiences with large format analog consoles with a Neve VR, so this new 88RS Channel gets me really excited about UA! I never used an 88RS but I remember the VR preamps having a certain sound if they get driven. Also the compressor had a really lovely tone! Time to get a new interface

marshall's getting some bad reviews at gearslutz. I have low expectations for it.

the 88rs is arguably the best console ever made. it's thought of as way better than the VR's. It is cleaner than the classic neve's but that's not to say it has no character. it's just very versatile. I have the legacy version of the plugin but I am curious for this.

$150 for the upgrade when I can only get like 8 instances is a bit UAD though. ah well.

I tested out the new console. I'm really not feeling it compared to the 1073 and the api vision. I only demoed it on guitar for a little bit of time so I have no idea how it might sound with other material. But initial reactions from me was not impressed.

All of UAD guitar plugs are crap. You really need a Kemper, Axe or of course traditional set up to get good results for guitar.

Too bad about the plexi. The Kemper's on my wanted list, for the sake of tone variety, but until I can afford one I'll just keep using my 5150

I'm trying to decide which 3 UAD plugs would be the best buys if I got an Apollo and they offer that 3 for $399 deal.

I'm waiting for the API vision to go on sale. I have the legacy 88RS and it's brilliant so I'll most likely grab the updated version.

all the reverbs are amazing, if you're getting on a deal id grab the new expensive stuff tbh.

how often do coupons come? or when would the next probably sale on it be? I don't want to spend more than $150 on it, so maybe i should demo it and buy 88RS and then demo again until its on sale?
