ive been listening to them alot and I want to get some of their albums. Which ones do you guys recommend I start out with?

Oh YES, STRANGERS for sure!

Force It! (1975)
No Heavy Pettin (1976)
Lights Out (1977)

No Place to Run (1980) w/ Paul Chapman is a classic. "Mystery Train" is just a killer track!

UFO are still kicking out Rock Solid Albums too! The new one "Monkey Puzzle" is great! Vinnie Moore is playing Guitar for them now and Andy Parker has returned to the Drums too.

Schenker did return for 3(?) disks in the 90's. "SHARKS" being my Fav of that group.

UFO did put out some questionable releases in the 80's (who didn't) when Pete Way left (FastWay, Waysted) along with (replacement to Schenker) Paul Chapman (underrated guitarist IMO). But even those are still worth a spin (I pretty much have everything on vinyl up to a point).

"Strangers in the night" is a classic. You really can't go wrong with any of the early albums and of the later ones I really like " the wild, the willing and the innocent". Awesome band.

Essential UFO is a nice 16 track collection, if you can find it! Doctor Doctor, Too Hot To Handle, Only You Can Rock Me, Lights Out, Rock Bottom! Classic stuff!!!

strangers or the best of are 2 really good ones to start with.

also pete way and paul chapman both played on the waysted e.p. and "the good the bad the waysted" which are both to kick ass hard rock albums.

i just found out that shenker actually was recruited for ratt when they got rid of some guitarist. i guess u learn something new everyday

Something is up with Schenker - did you read on Bravewords.com that he apparently wasn't even able to play at a concert in Japan? Things don't sound real good...

Stay away from the last album, The Monkey Puzzle. It's not very good.

Wow, really?!..........I gotta disagree with that one. I think it's another Rock Solid release from the UFO camp.

Of the recent releases I've only been dissapointed with the new live one "SHOWTIME" it just doesn't seem to have any Energy and punch to it at all.

Robin Crosby left the band in the early 90's after catching the aids virus. Schenker had worked with Ratt's drummer, Bobby Blotzer on the Contraband project and was asked to tour with them. I saw this tour, good 80's style rock!
