Scorpions can;t be considered for a couple of reasons, they had been around since the early 70's (same for Judas Priest who was not part of the NWOBHM movement) and more importantly THEY ARE NOT BRITISH but German. :loco:

Wow, now this is a tough one. I'm not into a lot of NWOBHM bands in general but two of my all time favorite metal bands in any sub-genre are Iron Maiden and Saxon. Picking 6 songs is a daunting task indeed. Nonetheless, here goes....

1 - Saxon - "Denim and Leather"
2 - Saxon - "Broken Heroes"
3 - Iron Maiden - "Where Eagles Dare"
4 - Iron Maiden - "Aces High"
5 - Iron Maiden - "The Trooper"
6 - Grim Reaper - "See You in Hell"

I am not really familar with this genre other than Maiden and Saxon so any 3 Maiden (even "Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter" or whatever its name is) and any three Saxon tracks.

IRON MAIDEN - "The Number of the Beast"
SAXON - "Crusader"
TOKYO BLADE - "If Heaven is Hell"
RAVEN - "The Savage and the Hungry"
PRAYING MANTIS - "Lovers to the Grave"
DIAMOND HEAD - "Lightning to the Nations"

Iron Maiden - Murders In the Rue Morgue
Samson - Earth Mother
Angel Witch - Atlantis
Diamond Head - It's Electric
Def Leppard - When The Walls Came Tumbling Down
Saxon - Princess of the Night

I'm not too familiar with the genre either (aside from the bigger names), but just seeing the name Tygers of Pan Tang makes me want to scream "Blood and souls for my Lord Arioch!" and start cleaving my way through enemies with my howling runesword. :headbang:

I've got at least one of their albums on vinyl....pity I have no way to play it anymore. :(
Anyone have any thoughts on the 2-CD NWOBHM compilation that Lars Ulrich put together years ago? That one's lurking around here somewhere, too.

Iron Maiden - Powerslave
Raven - Hard Ride
Jaguar - Axe Crazy
Motorhead - Iron Fist
Sweet Savage - Killing Time
Angel Witch - Gorgon

Cool Genre!
