UltimateMetal.com is thrilled to announce the addition of Shadow Gallery to the forum family!

I'm personally a huge fan of the band ever since first hearing Carved in Stone. The newest album Digital Ghosts has been in heavy rotation with me recently - the guys continue to release killer and masterful albums.

Tyranny is hands down one of the greatest melodic prog metal albums ever. It earned an easy slot in my top ten of all time from the first listen and is one of the few albums I can listen to at any time without ever growing bored of it, amazing.

If you haven't heard the band before, well, shame on you! Ok, ok, check out some more info on the band (including tunes) at the links below, you won't be disappointed!

Welcome guys!

The Shadow Gallery Operational Command Post (heh) would like to thank everyone for the warm welcome. We will try to get Gary, Brendt, Carl, or Brian to drop in and say hello before they leave for ProgPower Europe.

We've been fortunate enough to have had an ear in the studio during SG rehearsals for the upcoming tour. (The first time I heard them playing together LIVE I literally jumped up and down like a 10 year old.) yes, it is finally almost here and yes, in our opinion- they sound amazing, stunning- the music has so much energy and then you add their live energy- just makes it rock harder.

Dunno if you've ever been to Barley Creek, where SG is playing on September 5th along with Suspyre, but it is one of the gems of the Poconos. The upper deck is a large bar, deck and pavilion, with grassy fields, and a wiffleball field (proper with advertisements on the home-run fence)! There is a beautiful view of Camelback mountain from the bar. Down below is the brewery and restaurant. They've added a back bar along with more inside seating. The food is excellent and the beer is the best micro-brewed beer in the Country. Here's our recommendation: Firehouse Chili with a tall glass of Navigator Gold. Killer combination.

Some folks have asked- why Pennsyltucky? Why Barley Creek? Family, friends, and loyal fans have supported SG through many years, of great success and tragic loss (we love you, Mike). SG wanted to begin this new phase of their career at a venue that was close to home, close to their heart, and close to a beer tap. This venue will not run out of beer!

But we could run out of tickets. They are selling at a fast clip and there is a limited number of tickets available. Don't wait until it's too late!

If you need information about hotels in the area, drop us an email. It's our backyard, we will steer you in the right direction. There is crazy fun stuff for the kids to do- Camelbeach is right up the road, Great Wolf Lodge within a few miles, and Mt. Airy Casino is only 10 minutes away (adult kids only). What? Your wife/gf/better half wants to know about shopping? The Crossings is the original outlet mall and has more stores than we can count. It is 1 mile from Barley Creek on the same road!

Look at all the reasons we just gave you to come to the concert. But there is only one (two if you count special guest: Suspyre)(or three if you count Navigator Gold) reason to be at the upper deck of Barley Creek on September 5th: Shadow Gallery's first live show. We'd love to see you there.

Again, thanks for the warm welcome. We are honored to join your community.

Rick, Jill, Randi, and Francesco - SGOCP (at least for this transmission)

Is it just me or is the idea of having a live show a step in the wrong direction...:(
The suspense will be lifted for good...

So a question for the locals.....

I'm bringing the family (including two kids under five) for the weekend.... Where do you recommend staying in the area? Great Wolf would be fun, but at $300+ per night, its a little steep...... Any other good family friendly hotels?

Looks like there is a ton of stuff to do to keep the kids entertained.....

Welcome! :headbang: i had Digital Ghosts on pre-order as soon as i could. Great album. I think Mike would be happy with it :) it's a shame we never got to see any live shows with Mike but i'm glad you guys are still going strong

There are many more economical hotel choices within minutes of Barley Creek Brewery...although they don't have water slides and fun entertainment for the kids inside the hotel, there are plenty of activities (Camelbeach) within a minutes drive. Here are some suggestions (although none I have stayed at personally):

Days Inn - Tannersville, PA www.daysinntannersville.com
