ulver

I really like Ulvers last 4 albums- starting with Themes From William Blakes Marriage- Perdition City is just damn good- I read Garm say that the next album will not be as mellow as perdition city- but done in the same vibe.
Try WInMx- find a decent amount there.

*slaps head*

if you're looking for metal mp3s, hit the Dal.net irc server and join a metal chan such as #mp3_blackdeath or #mp3-blackmetal
for more generic metal (way too much glam) use #mp3_metal, and for any other genre, #100%-free-mp3s mp3 <--- "mp3" is the key, need it to join the channel.

ive never had problems finding anything at all that im lookin for there

I scrolled through my mp3-folder recently. I found 'I Troldskog faren vild' and played it. It was amazing, so I ordered Bergtatt, and later on Kveldsanger. Both albums are great, and I'm currently thinking of expanding my Ulver-collection.

Hah, are you fucking serious? Two songs off Metamorphosis and none off Bergtatt OR Perdition City? What, is Metamorphosis, like, your favorite piece of music or some shit? It's decent, but it definitely doesn't contain their best material.

Bergtatt is a great album but none of the songs rise abouve each other so it was either mention the whole album or nothing and nothing is more appropriate.

Perdition City while being a good album, didn't strike me with any killer tracks either.

Metamorphosis on the other hand, Of Wolves & Vibrancy and Gnosis just snatched up my interest like nobody's business. They just create such a great atmosphere and such disturbed images that I can't possibly not mention them.

Hah, Bergtatt has no stand-out songs? How many times have you actually sat down and listened to it? Perdition City - same. The first five songs are some of the best electronica I've heard.

Give them a few more listens before dismissing them as "okay, but nothing interesting.

Please, do actually read the posts before answering. I said Bergtatt is a great album, none of the songs just rise to be better than the others. It is a whole entity which is listened through, not just individual songs.

As for Perdition City, I prefer the stuff on Metamorphosis though I do like Perdition too.

And I've listened to both albums with thought.

Actually Hymn 6 on Nattens Madrigal has a beautiful melody... if you can figure it out from the distortion that is :)
So I'd recommend that, Nowhere/Catastrophe, Gnosis, A Song of Liberty and Bergtatt's track 3

Whatever. You're a poser homo. Bergtatt kicks your ass.
What the fuck is this crap? Haven't you ever heard of taste? It's different if you didn't know!!! I don't like electronic shit, so I won't buy any of their electronic records! Does this mean I don't know shit, as the first five songs are some of the best electronica? Nope! I just don't like that type of music! I adore John Barry, but you probably don't! Hey, you don't know shit, 'cause John Barry is cool! Give me a break man! Taste is different as I've said many times before. There's no right and wrong in taste!!!!!! I'm getting sick of that shit, where people say "This is true, 'cause I think so!" about something that has to do with taste!!!
