Ancient Rites is right up your alley. Metsatoll is some lame happy happy folk band which i think you like, of that style. Nomans Land, Gernotshagen, Thrudvangar are all average-above par pagan metal, not bad stuff. Wolven Ancestry and Chaos Moon are USBM I think, one of them may be in Canada. I own a Chaos Moon album and im pretty happy with it. Morrigan is probably one of the most respected pagan metal bands, I still can't get into suck dick phase but ive kept it for awhile. Celts is usually a recommended album by then.

On to the topic, I really would like to go, but I plan on joining the military and no idea if i'll be around. I hope to still send sponsorship money so it can keep going year to year.

no primordial they are confirmed to the European Heidenfest at the same time as Heathen Crusade. Pagan Altar, as far as I know, is the only band still being looked into that alot of people would know.

Definitely do. Their older material is more traditional black metal, but their more recent albums (Dim Carcosa, Rubicon) have a folk/viking sound.
