umm...any news about the new album?

I don't know if that's a proper question at the moment, as the band is touring and Eric's just had an accident. We'd all like to know when it's released or how far they are with the writing (recording?), but I'm pretty sure that if there's something new about the record, TL will be informed and will have us informed. I really doubt they're working on the record during the tour. If I recall correctly, there had been plans to have the album recorded before the tour, but I guess that didn't happen due to the line-up changes.
Besides, Chuck said in a recent interview that they've around 6 songs done. Here's the link

Talked to Eric a couple of days before he stepped on a banana (heh heh) and he said they have 8 songs written. They are supposed to start recording in July when they are back from the tour. They just built a new studio in the same building as the Sadus rehearsal space. I heard two songs (Eric's demo without vocal) when I played with them a year ago and they sounded awesome! Very much in the vein of "The Gathering".

I'm just hoping for some "back-in-the-day" "Testament-like" guitar solos.I know Skolnick ain't there anymore but still... That's what hooked me on Testament the first time i heard of them with the Souls Of Black CD. And i've had Testament tattoed on my heart since then (not for real though,lol...you know what i mean) But i loved the vibe and feeling of The Gathering, fast thrash-death-metal-like with DNR, Legions Of The Dead...so fast, love em, but i just miss my Testament solos...
