Unemployment

Actually,
i'm not too worried about being unemployed. So far in 15 years i think i have only been unemployed for a total of 6 days.Anyway, i think it will hopefully turn out to be a good move.it's kind of been on the cards for about 6 months now.Strangely enough, i was actually earning more money than i ever had before but was also working too many hours.I'll get my resume together in the next couple of days(shouldn't be too hard as i updated it 3 years ago and now only have to add my most recent job to the resume)

by the way, anyone know any good websites.
i know seek.com.au and mycareer.com.au

I think there's one called monster.com or something too. But most of the jobs on there seem to be posted by employment agencies who never call you back. Xena applied for 5 jobs a day or more on those sites and never heard anything.

Finished my latest temp assignment - which is good. 3 weeks was long enough

Start a 3-day assignment on Monday - £10 an hour :kickass:

So look out if you end up in Nepean Hospital or somewhere near by I could be the nurse looking after you.
hehe you could end up working with my little sis, she's doing her second year of nursing at Uni now, wants to get in at Westmead Children's Hospital or Nepean

If she is doing her second year at uni now chances are once she is finished and done her specialty training as well she could end up with me.
But let her know she would be greatly advised if she isn't already. To go work part time in a nursing home as the nurses that get trained through uni 9 times out of 10 get a shock how hard the job is.Even with the small amount of clinical they do, it is no where near enough to prepare them for the job. That is why hospitals etc are more enclined to employ Enrolled nurses or Registered Nurses who have done work in a nursing home. Enrolled and Assistant nurses have hell of a lot more experience and hands on knowledge than someone straight out of uni.

Yeah she's doing work experience and all that, hell, she did some work experience at a nursing home near our place and they offered her a full time job. You can imagine the shock they got when they realised she was only a student
