Hey everyone, just wondering what everyone else out there thought of the Black Metal Documentary, "Until The Light Takes Us".

I personally thought it was great.

BTW, Official Tshirts and Hoodies from the film can be purchased at www.darksundistro.com

Pretty good, though I've seen a couple better ones on Youtube. Black Metal A Documentary, and True Norwegian Black Metal. I'd like to see one that really gets into the nitty gritty of the sub-genres, their influences, etc. rather than the same Burzum and co. story rehashed over and over. Yes, the roots are important, but the current state of the genre is far more interesting.

Bolded to make names clear.

It was nothing new about it that hadn't been said before and it lacked structure.
Still fun to watch the clowns, Varg had some valid points about society as always.

Best scene in the doc.

The whole doc is great, but yeah that scene is classic. Almost as classic as this:

I didn't think this film offered anything informative really. But it was a bit more stylish and unique in it's presentation and the way it was filmed, striving for more mood and atmosphere if I recall correctly. Overall I enjoyed it but not as much as other documentaries. I'll have to re-watch it.
