That's how I feel too, but that always happens with all the cds I love. I thought Solens Rotter was the worst Vintersorg album at first, now it's not only my favorite Vintersorg album, but one of my favorite albums ever. I think "Imaginative will grow on me the more I listen to it!

I know what you mean, I had the exact same thing with pretty much every Solefald and Ulver albums.
yesterday I listened to Imaginative twice in the car and it did indeed start to sound a little better, his vocals are amazing. but you know what I really don't like..? those weird background sound effects that seem to have been scattered all over the album.

Not too happy to hear about the vocals. I don't really like V's high vox, especially not on Origin. Please tell me it doesn't sound like that record?
