upgrading from M - AUDIO BX8s? worth it

i was thinking to upgrade to Dynaudio BM5A Powered Studio Monitor, but they are smaller, is that a wise choice? how drastic would I have to change my mixing approach, then I can possibly upgrade to Dynaudio BM15A which are up there in price for a pair, but than with that spending limit I have so many other choices, if i was to spend 2 grand on a pair that would be my set for a long time so I need to choose wise,

Have you invested in any room treatment? That will make a bigger difference per dollar. BX8s are about as good as anything near their price range, you really won't be upgrading in terms of sound until you treat your room.
