Upgrading recording gear (i.e. actually buying real monitors)

So I'm looking to upgrade my monitors from my 25 buck computer loudspeakers to a pair of "real" monitors. I'm looking to spend around 150-200 Euros, but have no clue about what to look for, what to consider, and basically no experience whatsoever in purchasing audio monitors.
I'm basically looking for a pair of good, all-round speakers that are more or less within that price range.
Any suggestions?

The music store had some used Tascam VLM-3's for about half the store price, so I went ahead and got those. Definately a huge upgrade from my normal speakers, and I think sufficient for my level of skill right now, plus now I was able to buy an SM 58 and PODFARM as well, already a huge upgrade from my old setup, sound wise :p
Now all I need is a new bass guitar, a new computer and a new interface, drum mics...

...I should've picked a cheaper hobby, like soccer or something -_-
