Hey
I am currently trying to re-amp some DI's I captured with a band the other day and i'm getting some seriously bad sounds with the amp, i'm not sure whats going wrong or if the DI is too hot.
I was wondering if someone could see what they think of this DI for a few seconds?

Thanks

i tried the DI's with podfarm and my blackstar (ht5). I dont think there is something wrong the soundquality of the DI track. Purely based on what i can see on the meters, it doesnt seem to hot iether. It's just filthy played black metal...

to me it sounds like its not hot enough, really have to push the amp gain..

Cheers everyone and cheers for the reamp Forceps.
I reamped both tracks through a peavey 5150+ and double rectifier (both combos) i had an hour's access to today (it's a 13 minute song).
I didn't really get great sounds out of either.
Signal>reamp brand reamp box>ts9>amp>57
Here's the same raw snippets of each amp for any critique?
Peavey then Mesa.

Can someone explain to me how it not being hot enough can be the problem. Cant you just increase the gain somewhere else???

I don't have the chance to play with the files tonight, but those test reamps you posted definitely sound pretty lackluster, nothing really interesting to listen to there, but you already knew that. If I remember tomorrow morning I may run them through my amp and see what's up.

Well heres the two amps together with some EQ, a bass guitar and some drums that need a lot of work, i'm quite pleasantly surprised after hearing the amp tracks on their own, although they're still obviously pretty messy.

I'm hoping to reamp with my 5150 when I get back in a few days and spend some time hopefully getting a half decent tone!

Although that mix still needs some work, my opinion stays the same. DI track seems fine, its just filthy played black metal like they made mid and late 90's. Used to be a big fan of that stuff when i was young.
