USA! USA!

The brits had a funny monetary system before '71.
Two pounds four and six please!

Hmm.. That was pretty OT I guess.

Yeah, I'm really interested on the saturation, since it seems to be the perfect complement for the CSP which I'm loving so far...
How much do you use it and where, Eddie?

Thanks for going back on topic guys.

saturation really depends, it really has a lot of options due to the different models, and how hard you hit it (as well as having a mix knob). it also affects dynamics and does soft clipping and all sorts of other stuff.

I havent really found something I dont like it on, but really depends on the situation.

best way i can put it, is its my favourite saturation i have found.

How well does the URS saturation work on high gain guitars? Hell, it would be a cool bonus if it also works well on bass, vocals and drums too.

it depends what you want from it - it will sound like saturation would do.

it wont make the guitar sound more distorted (like turning the amp gain up), but then that would basically be impossible to do after the fact anyway.

that said, a bit blended in can be quite nice on guitars. tbh i can happily use it on any source to varying degrees. the best way to see if you like it would be to give the demo a go.

at the price it is at the moment Id say its worth it for sure.

I know what saturation is man, I know it wont give me more amp gain:lol:
You say it's the best saturation you've tried, so I can assume from that it has a nice, pleasant sound when applied to guitar tracks.
Personally, I'm a bit of a n00b when it comes to saturation. So far I've just been using the one that comes with my DAW Software, as well as JB Ferox which is not bad at all for a free plug in.
I've got pretty poor monitoring and no room treatment, so it's hard to know whether I'd hear a big enough difference to justify going from free plug ins to a commercial saturation plug in.
It just worries me that if I buy it now, by the time I get good monitoring and room treatment, it will have moved onto the next generation of plug in and I will have somewhat wasted my money.
I'll definitely give the demo a go though:)

Edit : Heh, just saw that there are upgrades for those that have a URS Saturation License, so I guess I could probably comfortably buy this now and hopefully will be able to upgrade for free when the next one comes out.
