Silent Hill is probably one of the only recent American horror movies I really liked. It was actually really creepy and weird, almost like an Asian horror movie. I thought the violent parts kind of sucked though. With everything else looking so amazing, I don't know why they made the violent parts look so fake.

Yea, it's from Silent Hill.
They made it look fake because it's supposed to be surreal, I'm guessing. They were trying to keep the same level as the game, as far as "Hell".

But I wish Pyramid Head would heave been something more than just some other monster. I don't even play video games that much, but he is what got me into Silent Hill 2 and I checked out 4 after that (he wasn't in that one though). He scared the shit out of me in Silent Hill 2. All he did in the movie was stand around holding a body and that huge knife, and rip that woman's skin off to throw it at the church.
I would have liked the end better if the Pyramid Head and a bunch of the monsters did everything instead of those wires.
But other than that, I loved the movie.
