Using alt2 samples (Custom Truth Kit)

Hi guys,

Just wondering if someone could give me some pointers as to how to load the alt2 samples into the Sturgis Kontakt instrument. I'd want to load all of them in completely overriding the default samples and then save the instrument under a new name.

Feeling a bit baffled by Kontakt at the moment!

Read the manual or watch tutorials on youtube. there is plenty.

I've done that and am none the wiser. It seems to be something to do with the exchange sample function but as I need to import muliple samples for each velocity range it all gets a bit unclear.

Any other ideas?

Yeah, I'm pretty fluent on kontakt and I didn't know wtf to do with the Alt samples

Create a kontakt instrument from scratch? In the words of ahjteam, read the manual.

Well I couldn't do it from Kontakt but here's a simple workaround that works...

• Find the Truth Custom Black & Gold samples folder...
  
• Delete (or move to another location) the kick and snare samples...
  
• Go to the alt2 folders for kick and snare and copy across...
  
• Now the alt2 samples play in place of the originals and if you've been careful with moving around your samples then nothing is lost.

Worked for me, I much prefer the punch of the alt2 kick and snare :Spin:
